Getting Ready for an Adventure!

 It was never my plan to write all my adventures down on a paper much more publish it on a blog. Time came and life asked what what I wanted to do at this age. I thought of blogging.

 I love travelling and I have been to several places in and out of the Philippines. So, what will I write for my virginal post?! Uhmmmm....ok! How to prepare for an adventure! As an avid backpacker, it is always important to stay within your budget, otherwise, you will end up not enjoying your trip which defeats the purpose of "vacationing".

There are several tips that I can share with you:

- Try NOT to check- in your luggages to save on fees and hassle in retrieving it. It will also help keep your luggages in tip top shape longer. Airport personnels are usually not kind to our luggages :)

- Bring at least two bags: one hand- carry (to keep your passport, ticket, make-up kits, money, etc.) and one 10-15kgs luggage (to keep your wardrobe)

- Always bring ballpoint pens with you. It will be used for filling up the forms at the airport and on the plane.

-  Bring snacks on the plane BUT please do eat them discreetly or when everybody else is also snacking.

- Keep your money in different places as much as possible. (in your wallet, in your bag, in your pocket or even in your shoes!) This will also help you track your budget and avoid overspending.

- Always keep your dollars handy. Change enough local currency at the airport to cover your transportation fare and one night in a hotel (roughly around P5,000) in case, you changed your mind and would want to transfer to another hotel.

- Try to book your hotel early or before your trip. Especially if you are travelling on their country's holiday dates. 

- Check the weather and temperature of the country that you are going to. Pack appropriate clothes.

- Immerse yourself in their culture. Try their local delicacies and other local cuisines.

- Pack clothes that do not need ironing. Girls, avoid denim pants. It is better to bring shorts leggings and skirts.

 

- And most importantly, travel with your best bud. Someone who will share your passion of travelling and someone who you can enjoy the smallest things with.
